“Barney’s Version” the motion picture
will be premiering at the Venice Film Festival and is up for
the Golden Lion Award. Toronto International Film Festival premiere to be screened in Toronto at the Roy Thomson Hall
on September 12th, 2010.
So what’s the buzz?

Montreal’s most sought after
showband, The Directors were the band cast in the pivotal
wedding scene and will be appearing in the highly anticipated
feature film.
The movie stars Dustin Hoffman, Paul Giamatti, Minnie Driver,
Scott Speedman, Rachel Lefevbre and a host of other top screen
actors.
The film is based on the Mordechai Richler novel “Barney’s
Version” and is directed by Richard J Lewis and produced
by mogul producer Robert Lantos. The screenplay was written
by Montreal native, Michael Konyves.
