"The Directors" have over
35 years experience in the entertainment industry and have gained accolades
from some of the biggest names in show business.
Along with their busy schedule of
private and corporate clients, their musical expertise and superior quality
has been the band of choice by names such as The Right Honorable
Paul Martin and The Montreal English School Board. "The Directors" have shared the spotlight with disco divas Thelma
Houston, Sister Sledge, and Gloria
Gaynor. They
have performed with Montreal’s teen singing sensation Nikki
Yanofsky and have backed up acts such as Jully Black and
Jonas.
They were the band chosen for the Montreal Production of Tony
and Tina’s
Wedding produced at the Centaur Theatre.
The most recent credit to the band
is their casting in the adaptation of Mordechai Richler’s novel
Barney’s Version, adapated into a 2010 featre film.
Produced by Robert Lantos and directed by Richard J. Lewis, Barney's
Version boasts a star-studded cast including Dustin Hoffman and Paul
Giamatti.
Barney’s Version premieres
at the prestigious Venice Film Festival and Toronto International
Film Festival in September 2010.

Tony Picciuto (lead singer)
Original member and founder of "The Directors",
Tony has been fulfilling his dream as a professional singer for over
35 years and is still and always will be band leader to "The
Directors". His
stage presence, talent, charm and charisma are what make him a top
choice entertainer.

Randi Katz (Lead singer)
Randi was born with the gift of song and a great
stage name. A triple threat, Randi is no threat to "The Directors". With
a large background in musical theatre, film and radio jingles and
much experience singing with different bands, Randi has found her
element in "The Directors".

Franky B (guitar)
Also a founding member of "The Directors",
Frank considers playing in the band as part of his identity. The
band’s wide variety of music is where Frank has gained his
versatility as a guitarist. Devoted to the group for over 35 years,
Frank respects his fellow band members and is grateful to perform
with them.

Alex Arciero (Keyboards)
The third original member to "The Directors", Big
Al also has over 35 years of performance credits under his
belt. Alex has performed with some of the best musicians in the business
and presently with, he feels, the best assortment ever. Alex began
at a young age playing the accordion and travelled through Quebec
for concerts until joining "The Directors" at 17 years old.

Joe Primiani (bass guitar)
Joe has been with "The Directors" for
over 15 years. Joe, in his spare time, passes on
his knowledge to his students while teaching them bass. His upbeat
attitude and top shape performance is an asset to "The Directors".
There is nothing he would rather do on most nights.

Fred Manricks (Keyboards)
Fred Manricks is the musical director for "The Directors". His ear for sound and knowledge of music are what drives
their live musical feel. No computerized reproduction here. Just
a keen natural sense of musical interpretation.

Joe Marsillo (drums)
After many years of performing on the road with
Montreal artist Mitsou. Joe Marsillo has now found his home with
"The Directors". His energy, versatility and drumming ability engages
any discerning partygoer to make their way onto the dance floor.

Mike Cartile (Trumpet)
Concordia University trumpet professor, Mike Cartile
has been playing for many years. Born and raised in Montreal, he
studied at McGill University. As lead trumpet for the Vic Vogel Big
Band, Mike has performed with such legends as Dizzy Gillespie, Mel
Torme and Nathalie Cole. At the Place-des-Arts he has played principal
trumpet in productions such as "Les Miserables", "The
Phantom of the Opera", "The Kind and I", "Annie", "Fiddler
on the Roof", "Grease", "West Side Story" and "Cats". Mike
has also recorded the sound tracks for and appeared in movies such
as "The Family", "P.T. Barnum", and "The
Audrey Hepburn Story".
Mike has performed at the Montreal International
Jazz Festival for the past 28 years.

Jean Boutin (flute/piccolo/clarinet/saxophone)
Jean has played with many jazz greats such Al
Vizutti and Marvin Stamm. He was the recipient of Best Instrumentalist
prize at the International Jazz Festival in Vienne, France 1995.
Jean has also toured with international pop stars (Gino Vanelli,
Frank Sinatra Jr., etc.) and Quebecois artists (Robert Charlebois,
Claude Dubois, Adamo etc).

Margaret Stellick (flute/saxophone)
Margaret has studied in Europe (Conservatoire
de Bordeaux, France). She has accompanied Quebecois artists (Mary
Barry, Joanne Griffiths, Claude Dubois,etc.)
Margaret has played with international stars Della
Reese and Peter Appleyard.
